Due to a series of mishaps, when it rains it pours as it were, we find ourselves without municipal water, and with the 2500 L rain collection tank empty, with a broken valve involved. So i fitted a PVC fountain spout onto the base of the tank, pouring the incoming light rain we had this afternoon into buckets. Running bucket brigades, i took a shower, flushed the toilets, washed the dishes, shaved my head, and filled the drinking water filter. Made myself a cup of coffee. Improvising and macgyvering my way through a dry sunday turned out to be fun. And satisfying, in a getting-shit-done-in-the-face-of-adversity way.
