fresh new mysql

i just spent all of a friday night at home rebuilding this database to upgrade to mysql 4.x. there was some serious pain involved, because i had left the old movable type installation on here, from the previous erichaller.com and also the boate, and they both had “grown” owing to spammers, the activity log, and the mt-blacklist plug. the database had swollen to FIFTY SEVEN MEGABYTES. a couple hours later i had it trimmed to 2.7 MB, but still above the threshhold that the installation of php myadmin on my host would allow me to upload in one go. i’m going to skip the boring details, but suffice it to say there was a bit more pain involved there.
so now that i have upgraded the php and mysql on here, i can fire up mediawiki.
