chick peas may be the new meat for me. tonight i boiled up a big pot, poured half of them into the cuisinart for one of the best hummuses i have tasted, then poured the rest into a saucepan with cubed steamed baby red potatoes, and a bunch of curry spices for some serious punjab style chole masala. i piled everything onto a plate with a lot of diced tomato, cucmber, cilantro, lemon wedges, onion, long-grain brown rice, yogurt, and wedges of whole wheat pita bread. i’m feeling gooooood. serious endorphin rush from the spice.
