dreary sweet

i stayed in port today and caught up on things that halo 2 has caused me to neglect. the day was drearily undecided in where it wanted to go, weather-wise. as a preventive measure against any encroaching seasonal affective disorderliness, i started baking bread and roasting some squash and beets. i pulled a couple tins of sardines out of the cupboard. then i stepped out on the balcony. things ended on a sweet note.
