i went to the market today and there were a bunch of different ripe heirloom tomato varieties. i bought about 8, sliced them up, chopped a large bunch of fresh basil on top, crumbled feta cheese on top, put the whole thing on a bed of thin-sliced lettuce. and drizzled balsamic vinegar over the bowl. i had a semifreddi’s seeded baguette to corral the tomatoes in the corner of the bowl for spearing by my fork. i think i overindulged.
