welded, and more sanding

i got over to the marina pretty late in the afternoon. chris over at the berkeley marine yard hooked me up with a really solid-looking bead around the shaft of the boom and the gooseneck that sits in the runner groove on the mast. (technically, a string of nautical terms that hints that strongly at sexual themes belongs over on theboate.com). then i went over and sanded until the sun went down.
